Annual Meeting and Picnic
July 20, 2019
Scott and Jane Stuart Memorial Park, Longville 10:00 a.m.
At 10:00 a.m., we will have our normal annual business meeting where your voice can be heard. We will vote for Officers/Directors and other required business of the association. We will have information on opportunities for you to get involved in the Lakes Association - this is the time for you to step up and VOLUNTEER!
After the business meeting, we will have a speaker of interest regarding our lakes.
Next to climate change, aquatic invasive species (AIS) are one of the critical issues of our time. AIS can harm our lakes and rivers, impair recreation and negatively impact community economies and jobs that rely upon healthy lakes and rivers. Join Doug Jensen, AIS Program Coordinator with the University of Minnesota Sea Grant Program, in a conversation of how AIS management is working to prevent and slow the spread of AIS and how you can help. See http://www.seagrant.umn.edu for additional information.
Around 11:30-12:00, we will serve the picnic lunch. The picnic is a time for you to come and meet your new neighbors and to renew old acquaintances. This is an informal time where you can discuss lake issues with the Board and your friends and neighbors, get involved in Lakes Association activities and play Bingo for great prizes. Meal (chicken dinner) and drinks provided.
We are suggesting a per person donation to offset the cost of the picnic (kids 16 and under free).
These meetings are open to the public and held on the third Saturday of every month May - October at the Wabedo Town Hall. You are invited to attend and bring up any issues you may have.
